On Rumsfeld

As I sit here and digest the happenings of Tuesday, and the subsequent "resignation" of Donald Rumsfeld, I have been thinking of the job that Secretary Rumsfeld did for this country.

In short, he planned the advance on the Taliban in less than a month. The Taliban was removed from power in a little over 7 weeks.

He oversaw the advance on Iraq, after they refused to comply with UN mandated monitoring. They were toppled in a little over 3 weeks.

This was accomplished because Rumsfeld new the Armed Forces needed to change shape from a massive brute force, to a lightning quick force able to deploy anywhere on the planet in as quick a time as possible. This was swiftly accomplished. IF a Dem had appointed him, he would be the hero of the century.

The main mistake that Rumsfeld made was not the troop levels in Iraq, or any other such Bullshit that you hear from Libtards and the willing media, it was his belief that middle America would support the mission in Iraq as it is today. Late 2001 was the most patriotic time since WWII. But that sentiment melted faster that a snowball in hell. He underestimated the amount of politically "middle" America that has become cowards. It is that simple.

If this mission were to be allowed to go unto fruition, they would see that it is the very troop level needed to ensure a semblance of security in a place that has not had real secure freedom many times in its existence; The right size force to train a defending army, but at the same time, not put such a massive footprint on the Iraqi landscape that it breeds further instability in and of itself.

Have there been mistakes? Sure. Plenty to go around. But not a single liberal could have done better, and that is as close to a fact as you'll get in a hypothetical situation

What we are going to see now is that change for changes' sake is not always good. I pray that God favors the foolish.

Rumsfeld was the right man for the job on September 12, 2001, was he not??? If any of you libtards say otherwise, you are either a freaking liar, or subverting a man for the sake of political power.

Either way, I know you will look proud at yourself in the mirror. I also know that I could not, were I in your shoes..

That is all...
